About the role
We are looking for a talented senior backend engineer who wants to join a startup, create impact from day one and drive the backend technology and development. It is an excellent opportunity for you to help us shape the future around our APIs, platform, data development and machine learning capabilities.
We want you to bring knowledge and experience from your past to show us how we can make things better. Our technology team is lean and strong with a limited number of meetings, and this opportunity comes with the freedom to Do The Right Thing and make crucial decisions around our products, technology and tools.
You will be working very closely with our lead backend engineer, an excellent source of knowledge and fantastic mentor who built our blazing-fast backend architecture from the ground up. Our CTO is an experienced leader and engineer who’s been building architectures and technology teams for the last twenty years. So there is plenty to learn and multiple directions you can take your career forward.
Backend Technology Stack
- NodeJS, TypeScript, Monorepo

- OpenAPI, JSONSchema specification
- Jest, Stryker
Frontend Technology Stack
- ES2020 JavaScript, VueJS3, SASS
- Vite, Monorepo, Buddy.works pipelines
- Vitest, Stryker, BackstopJS
Requirements
- You should be an experienced backend engineer with solid nodeJS and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Capable of designing great APIs and understanding how to make them fast, efficient and secure
- You worked with cloud backends, ideally AWS (lambda, s3, DBs)
- You are ideally experienced with OpenAPI, GraphQL & REST and understand how to scale the backend.
- You worked on integration with 3rd party APIs and systems (we do that a lot).
- You take responsibility for the projects beyond what is written on the task board.
- You led engineers and understand how to be an authentic leader and work as a team.
- Any hands-on experience in other parts of our tech stack will be a great benefit.
